Rust Eraser

A rust eraser or “Sabitoru,” is a compact and effective tool, for safely removing surface rust from carbon steel knives, including traditional Japanese blades. It's designed to restore the appearance of your knife without damaging the blade.

High-carbon steel Japanese knives can develop surface rust if not dried properly or exposed to moisture. Made from a rubber-like abrasive material, the rust eraser lifts off rust without scratching or damaging the steel. It is much gentler than using sandpaper or metal polish. The small and easy to handle size makes it ideal for precision cleaning in tight spots or along the blade edge. It can be used dry for quick touch-ups, or with water for a smoother finish with less friction.
